Great Speakers

Service

There are many opportunities to support the Lake Wylie and international communities through philanthropy and volunteer projects.  Service programs include but are not limited to, concerns such as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, education, and the environment.  Rotarians regularly experience the fulfillment that comes from giving back to the local, regional, and international community. For a more detailed list of some of our Club’s service projects, see the “How We Help” section.

Friendship

Rotary was founded on fellowship, a cornerstone that continues to attract members today.  Rotarians enjoy the camaraderie among business and professional leaders who share an interest in the Lake Wylie community and a global outlook.  Service projects help all Rotarians to develop enduring friendships. In addition, Rotarians who travel have friendly contacts in virtually every city in the world. Locally, we have regular socials where Rotarians can gather for fellowship.

Networking

One of the original goals of Rotary was to allow members to meet periodically and enlarge their circle of business and professional acquaintances. Rotarians represent a cross-section of their community’s business owners, executives, managers, political leaders, and professionals. In addition to the weekly luncheon, the Rotary Club of Lake Wylie routinely hosts social events as well as several seasonal events.  In addition, many opportunities are provided to network with Rotarians in other clubs throughout the local area and the state.

Leadership

Rotary is an organization of successful professionals. Team-building, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organization, and communication are just some of the leadership skills that club members can exercise and enhance.

Family

Rotary sponsors some of the world’s largest exchange and educational programs. Rotary clubs provide innovative training opportunities and mentoring for young leaders, and they involve family members in a range of social and service activities.
