Rotary of Lake Wylie will meet at Noon with updates from President, Greg Forrest.
We hope you can join us tomorrow for our regular meeting at the CSD YMCA at noon, and we’re very excited about our guest speaker, Cameron Hurst, Executive Director at Clover Area Assistance Center. For full transparency, Cameron’s husband, Michael, is also a member of Rotary of Lake Wylie. Cameron will be speaking with us to learn about how their program works, how they are making a difference within the Clover School District, and how we can continue to partner with them for food drives and Thanksgiving meal deliveries.
Cameron Hurst took on the role of Executive Director at Clover Area Assistance Center on January 1, 2023 after long-time director, Karen van Vierssen retired. She joined CAAC in October 2022 as Assistant Director and previously served on the board of directors holding several positions including Vice President and President.
Prior to her role at CAAC, Cameron had a successful career at Blackbaud, a global leader in providing tailored tech solutions designed to meet the distinct missions and objectives of nonprofit organizations. At Blackbaud, she collaborated with hundreds of nonprofits, overseeing software implementations, and partnering with these organizations to streamline their operational processes, thus enhancing efficiency.
Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Business Administration from The Citadel. She resides in Lake Wylie with her husband, Michael, and their two sons, Bennett and Campbell.
